Mekael was raised in Mitchell’s Plain and matriculated from Muizenberg High School in 2018 and earned his LLB from the University of the Western Cape in 2022.

He completed his articles at Bellingan Muller Hanekom Inc. and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in May 2025.

His professional focus is on General Litigation, Debt Collection, Family Law (with a special interest in Muslim personal law), Evictions, and Personal Injury Claims.

His approach combines legal expertise with empathy and cultural understanding.
