Seugnet grew up in the small town of Stilbaai and matriculated in 1999. She obtained a LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2003. Seugnet was admitted as an attorney in 2006 and practiced law at a law firm for the next 13 years where she climbed the ranks until becoming partner and director in 2016.
