Marolene obtained her LLB from the University of the Free State and was admitted as an Attorney & Conveyancer in 2021 and Notary Public In 2024.
Marolene practices as a Conveyancer and Notary, specialising in registration of property transfers and bonds. She also focuses on Notarial work, Deceased Estates and Trust Administration.
When she is not in the office she can be found spending time with her Jack Russell on the beach. She also enjoys a glass of wine whilst cooking over weekends.
Nicola was born and raised in Vredendal where she also matriculated in 2012. She obtained her LLB degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 2016 and was admitted as Conveyancer in 2023.
Her professional focus in conveyancing and property related matters which together with her passion for people ensures that she embraces a hands-on approach in the handling of all her matters.
In her free time, she enjoys a good glass of MCC with friends and family.
lIzemarie obtained her BLC. LLB degree at the University of Pretoria in 1987.
She is an admitted attorney and conveyancer and a member of the Compliance Institute of South Africa and the Institute of Directors.
After completing her articles in Pretoria, she moved to Cape Town where she was a partner at one of the large law firms in the Northern Suburbs until she relocated to Stellenbosch in 2007.
After relocating to Stellenbosch she joined Rootstock Investment Management as internal compliance officer and legal advisor until 2011 when she co-founded The Office in Stellenbosch (Pty) Ltd a boutique high net-worth family office practice.
Ilzemarie specialises in family office advice, company and trust law and acts an independent trustee and director for listed, private and non-profit companies. She joined BMH in 2023 as a consultant.
Regardt matriculated from Stellenberg High School in 1998, whereafter he attended Stellenbosch University and obtained a LL.B degree in 2003.
He was admitted as attorney in the Western Cape High Court and has been practicing law since February 2006.
Regardt specialises in High- and Magistrates Court litigation with particular emphasis to Contract-, Family Law and the drafting of Commercial Contracts. He also provides services to several correspondent attorneys.
Outside of normal business hours, he acts as a Commissioner (Presiding Officer) at the Small Claims Court in Bellville Magistrate’s Court and has served as Chairperson of the Tygerberg Attorneys Association. He also forms part of the BNI business referral network (Chapter: Forte – in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town).
Regardt is married to Seugnet and they have one son. He loves running road races.
He was born on the 15th of April 1969 in Paarl and Matriculated in 1986 at Middelburg High School in the Eastern Cape. He did military training in Pretoria and became an officer in Wynberg.
He obtained a B Proc. at UPE in 1988 in Grahamstown, before obtaining the H Dip Insolvency (AIPSA). He then did his articles at Greyvensteins in Port Elizabeth.
He moved to Cape Town in 1999 and worked at ABSA till 2001. He then worked in Taiwan for two years & became the founder of SARefs Academy in 2010.
He is married to Martli with two sons, Jano and Chris
John West Hendriks obtained a BA (Law) LLB at the University of Stellenbosch and started his career as Lawyer and Conveyancer with Bellingan Muller Inc in 2004.
He re-joined the company as senior partner and director in 2009 with extensive knowledge of the property industry. Besides fulfilling administrative and management functions at the firm, he attends to specialised property law needs for clients who include developers, corporate institutions such as banks, fiduciary institutions and a vast range of individuals.
In his private time, socialising, outdoor activities such as camping, surfing and diving revitalises him for the tasks that he has been entrusted with.
Susan is passionate about helping clients when dealing with all aspects of the law.
She was born in Bellville and obtained her LLB degree at the University of Stellenbosch during 2006, where she graduated third in her class of 2006.
She was admitted as an Attorney, Notary and Conveyancer in 2009 and has been in practice ever since.
After more than a decade’s practice and gaining extensive experience, Susan joined the dynamic team of BMH during 2021.
While taking hands with other property law specialists to offer the best legal service possible to her clients, she became an expert and is currently focusing on all aspects of conveyancing, mortgage bond registrations, notarial services, wills and deceased estates, structuring the legal side of property transactions and facilitating developments.
Her hands-on approach, being involved with the process personally, practising with the highest degree of honesty and integrity and applying her extensive knowledge with patience and empathy, distinguishes Susan from the rest.
In her ‘down time,’ she enjoys spending time with her family. She loves the role of being a mother. A bonus for her is when she is surrounded by nature with good food, wine and music.
After Matriculating from Outeniqua High School in George in 1971, Andre Theart completed his compulsory military service and thereafter obtained the degrees B.Juris LLB at the University of Port Elizabeth, now the Nelson Mandela Metropole University, whereafter he was admitted as an attorney and conveyancer during his tenure at the State Attorney.
He established Theart Mey & Partners in Johannesburg, specializing in conveyancing matters and served as a Bond Registration Panel attorney for all for Major Banks.
After relocating to Cape Town in 2001, he established Theart Attorneys and joined the Bellingan Muller Hanekom-Team during August 2020.
When not attending to his clients, Andre loves to spend time with his family as well as on the golf course.
Jesreal Claassen is a native of Calitzdorp, a quaint little town in the Klein Karoo, where in 1997 he matriculated from Calitzdorp High School.
Through dedication and hard work, he was accepted to the University of Stellenbosch, where he graduated in 2003 with an LLB degree. He then went on to complete his articles of clerkship at Heyns and Partners.
His wealth of experience includes trust and estates, litigation, and sports administration. He joined Bellingan Muller Hanekom in 2017 and quickly demonstrated his value to the firm which culminated in his appointment as a director in March 2019.
Jesreal’s tenacity in growing the firm has subsequently lead to his elevation as chairman of the BMH board of directors. In this role, Jesreal will help steer the firm to new and greater heights.
Living in a big city but still being a country boy at heart, he spends his limited free time enjoying the great outdoors by taking his family camping and cycling with his friends.
Anton Schoombee was born and raised in Stellenbosch, where he matriculated from Paul Roos Gimnasium.
He studied in both law and psychology and after obtaining his LLB served his articles at Van der Spuy and Partners in Cape Town.
Anton has worked as a conveyancer for most of his career and joined the team at BMH earlier this year. He specializes in conveyancing and commercial work, with a special focus on estate agency work.
Anton is a published writer and in his spare time reads, writes and builds scale models.
Louis Paul van Schalkwyk matriculated at Paarl Gymnasium in 1986 and obtained a B.Proc degree at Unisa after completing his compulsory military training. He was admitted as an attorney in 1996 and as a Conveyancer & Notary in 1998.
He spent the last 25 years at Avenant Rappoport Incorporated, most of it as a Director where he established a very lucrative conveyancing practice, not only serving all four major banks, but also developers, private clients and estate agencies.
His passion for property led him to join Bellingan Muller Hanekom earlier this year to complement an already well-oiled conveyancing machine. This platform provides him with a broad base to maintain a high service level to his clients.
In his free time you will find him and his wife in their Land Rover, exploring Southern Africa, if he is not on a mountain or a trail, running or at sea, sailing or scuba diving.
After matriculating from Worcester Boys High in 1969, he completed his compulsory military service, and started working at the Department of Justice. He then qualified for a bursary to study full time at the University of Port Elizabeth.
He finished his tenure as prosecutor and completed his articles at Heyns Strauss & Visagie. Experience at the head office of Boland Bank as secretary credit control followed and since 1986 in full practice as a Notary and Conveyancer at the firm, and qualified as an appraiser in 1989. Today he is one of the revered Directors.
Between all of this, he managed to raise a beautiful family with three children, who are now fully independent.
John was born and Raised in Bellville and Matriculated from DF Malan High School in 2004.
He applied to the University of Stellenbosch , and obtained his LLB degree in March 2011.
He is very passionate about his clients and feels fortunate to serve the community that he was shaped in.
In his free time, John has a keen interest in various types of music and loves cooking.
Seugnet grew up in the small town of Stilbaai and matriculated in 1999. She obtained a LL.B degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2003. Seugnet was admitted as an attorney in 2006 and practiced law at a law firm for the next 13 years where she climbed the ranks until becoming partner and director in 2016.

Born and bred in Rustenburg, She matriculated in 1983 from Afrikaans Hoër Meisieskool, she completed her BA LLB degree at Stellenbosch in 1988 and established her first lawyers’ firm in 1991 after being admitted as an attorney and conveyancer.
During a seven year period she managed to serve on all four major banks’ mortgage registration panels and attended to general conveyancing including property development registrations for various property developers, until she sold her first legal practice, just to start afresh 3 years later.
She established KARIN HANEKOM ATTORNEYS with property development as her main focus. Her assistance ranged from inception to negotiate and obtain vacant land, to draft commercial- and property development agreements, to assist with the general planning of development, appointment of the professional team, interface with Council and to liaise throughout with all roll-players during the development-, marketing- and registration process.
In 2018 she completed her Construction Adjudication course at the University of Pretoria, and in 2019 she joined the dynamic team of Bellingan Muller as a synergy was identified between providing property developers with assistance as mentioned and to then effectively manage and register the end-product to the public in an efficient and expedient way, as Bellingan Muller regularly appeared to be the top turn-around performers on the respective banks’ registration panels.
